There's a few things I have come to hate while searching around on DeviantART. In no particular order...

- Dark Link making out with Link from Legend of Zelda
- Horribly fat Samus Aran from Metroid
- Venture Brothers pornography

And finally, people faking photo-realistic artwork through applying a Photoshop filter to a well-known image, then backing up their "work" with step-by-step work that really is just a blatant deconstruction of the image. I'm all for Photoshop manipulations, but don't create something by applying a slight blur and maybe another smudge / paint brush effect and call it an image that you painstakingly created with just the paint brush tool and reference when it lines up perfectly to the source image down to the last eyelash, and is even the same pixel size and resolution as the source image.

I think I'd pass this by normally, but it's the 500+ favourites that these images get from people thinking it truly is an original creation when the rest of their works barely pass as stick figures.

In reality, Padme here had 2 filters applied, then I broke the image down in reverse order by cutting away elements with the lasso, and throwing down some paint brush marks. Oh, and some smudging too. Can't forget the smudging. It makes it look like I was carefully applying brushstrokes for hours.

I'll do what everyone else says and just say it took me 48267 hours to complete, and then have another new one to post tomorrow.

As for those other 3 things I hate, I'll get around to them eventually. Seriously, the fat Samus thing has to go especially.
